What does LilouMisou mean?
Those are my children's nicknames: Lilou is for my daughter Rym and Mirou and Sousou are for Amir and Youssef, my two boys.

Where does your inspiration come from?
I love walking in the Medina of our beautiful Tunisia to admire the architecture, the doors, the arcades of the old city. I am also inspired by our old clothes and our "houli" (old jewellery).

Where does this passion for craftsmanship come from?
My family has always been passionate about DIY and manual work. My grandmother used to sew, but she also used to weave from scraps of cloth. She initiated me involuntarily, and I love our traditions, our clothes. After my studies, I researched to create objects that mix my grandmother's influence and my culture.

Do you have a precious jewel you can't part with?
Yes. My first jewel. I put it on display once. After that, I kept it... I'll pass it on to my daughter one day.

What's your favorite Tunisian expression?
Mahleeeh! Which means: How beautiful!
