A MOMENT WITH THE FOUTA

UN TÊTE-À-TÊTE AVEC LA FOUTA

A MOMENT WITH THE FOUTA

UN TÊTE-À-TÊTE AVEC LA FOUTA

It's mid-afternoon in Fez. The sun is shining. The temperature is over 37-39 degrees, it's unbearably hot. It's summer and I'm on the outdoor terrace at my grandparents' house, right next to the fountain that spurts its water from everywhere, it's so refreshing. I'm happy, this refreshing mist makes me happy.

My Lala - that is my grandmother - is in the middle of preparing for tonight's dinner, where we will eat Moroccan salads, grilled meats, and certainly homemade fries that I am enjoying very greedily with Heinz Ketchup. My Lala joins me in the next few minutes, a basket of freshly washed clothes with the iconic Ariel powder from Morocco.

Yes, these thoughts remind me fondly of my childhood memories. Through this photograph, you can see through the shadow of the clothesline the foutas that my grandmother has just washed - that darling accessory that I grew up with during my childhood. The fouta shared my routine as a child and still today, the fouta is part of my daily routine. First, the fouta accompanied me to my first baths. Later, the fouta traveled with us on holidays at the beach and then in the afternoons at the pool. Often, during my swimming training sessions and then through my various activities, family picnics, outings to the park, weekend getaways, and so on!

I've always been looking for the most beautiful fouta, the one that draws subtle lines, the one that shines with sunny colours, another one generous with its pompoms, and then the one that dries the fastest so that you can enjoy the swims. Since then, choosing my fouta has become a personalized, creative shopping experience that is tailored to my current preferences.

At Boutique Binetna, we are proud to offer you a brand new collection of foutas that will charm you. We are inspired by fouta and we wanted to share with you below some brief encounters with fouta through the most appreciated films and series, the noblest works of art and other discoveries.

From this discovery, we can see that fouta remains a key accessory for home and bath as well as for daily activities and outings. It remains ideal for bathing, the hammam, the beach, swimming pools, and sports activities. The woven cotton foutas have been carefully made in Tunisia by local artisans who cherish integrity and craftsmanship.

The foutas can be washed in cold water or slightly in warm water. We suggest you hang it outside to allow it to dry easily in the open air. Especially great for outings in the park, at the outdoor movie theater in the summer, at picnics, as a cuddly toy, and then as a blanket.  It is perfect as a pareo, a small scarf, or as a wide hairband. The fouta beautifies the space; decorates armchairs and sofas and fits perfectly into baskets.
